HOW MUCH IS TUITION?

Tuition is $500 for each class. We offer Sliding Scale Financial Aid and Black Student Scholarships in order to make our classes accessible for students from all socio-economic backgrounds, especially those qualified to attend but without the financial resources to do so. We would like each student to contribute according to their means, so we are offering discounted tuition for accepted students from low-income backgrounds. 




WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY TUITION?

When we notify accepted students, we will include a link to a payment portal. The  deadline is 48 hours before the start time of their first class. 




WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF I HAVE RECEIVED FINANCIAL AID OR A SCHOLARSHIP?

Recipients of Sliding Scale Financial Aid or Black Student Scholarships will be notified on the same day they receive class acceptance emails.





WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BLACK STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AND SLIDING SCALE FINANCIAL AID?

The Black Student Scholarship is for Black students only. In the spirit of reparations through pedagogy, we are offering free tuition to low-income Black and Indigenous students.
However, all other students are eligible to apply for Sliding Scale Financial Aid, which offers reduced rates upon acceptance.





CAN/SHOULD I SUBMIT MULTIPLE FINANCIAL AID/SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORMS?
No - you only need to fill out one Financial Aid/Scholarship Form, even if you are applying to multiple classes. You also cannot apply for both the Black Student Scholarship and Sliding Scale Financial Aid.





IF I SUBMIT A FINANCIAL AID/SCHOLARSIP APPLICATION FORM, DO I STILL NEED TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FORM FOR MY CLASS(ES) OF INTEREST?

Yes - For aid to be considered, Financial Aid/Scholarship application forms must be completed in addition to the applications for each individual course of interest.
